Wilbur V. Schroeder, age 65, passed away August 16, 2013, at his home in Ladysmith. He was born August 12, 1948 in Oshkosh, the son of Vergil and Dorothy (Brown) Schroeder. Wilbur worked as a cook at numerous restaurants for a number of years. Later, he was employed at Neenah Foundry for 35 years until his retirement. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, horses, and birds. Wilbur also liked going to any kind of garage sale and playing the penny machines at the casino. He is survived by his children, Theresa Schroeder, Menasha, Wilbur Barry (Tina) Schroeder, Brothertown, Dorothy (Jim) Huempfner, Neenah, Courtney Schroeder, Menasha, and Nick Schroeder, Menasha; nine grand- children, Number One (Kirsten), Chris, Kevin, Amanda, Danielle, Nick, Alex, Silas, and Myles. He is further survived by several great grandchildren; one sister, Nancy (Mike) Walters, Neenah; one brother, Al (Mary) Schroeder, Wild Rose. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents and by one son, Mark.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 12 noon at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield with Rev. Eric L. Hambrock
officiating. Inurnment will be at Plainfield Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Dad, grandpa, brother, we will love you forever and you will always
be in our hearts.
