Waymeth Smith

Waymeth G. Smith, age 84, of Wautoma, formerly of Almond, passed away Thursday morning, December 6, 2012, at Silver Lake Haven in Wautoma. He was born March 19, 1928 at Jamestown, Indiana the son of Herschel and Letha (Smith) Smith. He farmed at Ammel Farms in Almond for many years. Waymeth later moved to Reno and then Sparks, Nevada before moving to Wautoma in 2005. He was employed as an over-the-road semi driver for many years. He enjoyed working on and restoring cars. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Payne, Wautoma; two grandsons, Steven Payne and Daniel Payne, both of Cudahy; one great granddaughter, Faith Payne; his sister-in-law, Helen Smith, Chippewa Falls. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wendell Smith, and by one sister, Wanita Hoskins. Waymeth donated his body to science. A memorial service will be held at the later date.
