Ward Malthe

Ward L. Malthe, age 56, of Hancock, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 while on the job. He was born July 6, 1954 in Berlin, the son of Walter and Angeline (Billington) Malthe. He married Betty J. Groskinsky on August 3, 1984 in Stevens Point. Ward worked for Maher Water Corporation for 37 years. He was very devoted to his family; loved his flowers and was a huge fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his wife Betty J. Malthe, Hancock, and a very special friend, Sandra J. Washburn; two brothers, Alan (Mary) Malthe, Hancock, Carl (Victoria) Malthe, Kellner; one sister, Sally (Russ) Worzella, Auburndale; He is uncle to Randy (Sarah) Malthe, Justin (Jenessa) Reid, Adam Worzella, Trudy Malthe (Mike), Ann (Jesse) Keahiler, Barb (Jerry) Hosen, Renee Musch-Malthe, Joey Malthe; great nieces, Valerie Hosen
and Emily Malthe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Angeline (Billington) Malthe. Funeral services will he held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield with Rev. Eric L. Hambrock officiating followed by a luncheon at the Hancock Wesleyan Church in Hancock. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
