Virgil Lee Seymour, age 62, or Wautoma, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his home. He was born on October 28, 1950 in Chillicothe, OH to Herbert and Betty (Thompson) Seymour. On January 8, 1971 he married Laura Jean Finneran in Chicago, IL. Virgil worked for 42 years at Midwest paving as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed going to auctions, collecting John Wayne items, gardening, horses and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Virgil is survived by his six children: Terry (Monica) Seymour, Rockford, IL, Dusty (Linda Johnson) Seymour, Wautoma, Betty (Tom) Boy, Wautoma, Tammy (Kevin) Kovacic, Westfield, Jamie Stiff, Jacksonville, FL, Sofia (Kevin) Splittgerber, Oshkosh; grandchildren: Nicholas, Ryan, Megan, Austin, Laura, Cearra, Zachary, Courtney (Jon) Weglarek, Derek, Kaitlynn, Emily, Maggie, Morgan, Brian, Bobby III, Ethan, Joshua, Haley, Alexis, Hannah, Phillip (Ariel), Jeffrey, Steven, Alex; three great grandchildren: Wyatt, Aaron, Lincoln; brother: Herbert (Mary)Seymour; three sisters: Grace Hatfield, Joyce (Gary) Arledge, Penny (Terry) Spaulding; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Laura Jean Seymour on August 31, 2012 and two brothers: Wayne and Marshall Seymour.
Funeral services will be held at 12PM (NOON) on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma with burial and Military Honors accorded by the U.S. Army Honors Team and Wolman-Minskey American Legion Post 317, at Wild Rose Union Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM (NOON).
