Vernon Hartford

Vernon B. Hartford, age 73 of Hancock, died unexpectedly on Friday June 7, 2013 at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah. He was born On October 10, 1939at home in Deerfield Township to Harrison and Isabella (Riggle) Hartford. On June 17, 1961 he married Barbara Siefert in Hancock, WI. Vernon farmed with his father on the family farm until 1970 and then went to work at the Berlin Foundry where he worked for 35 years and then retired to spend time with family and friends and pursue his hobby of "Junking". Vernon will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Vernon is survived by his loving wife: Barbara Hartford; brother and sisters: Delbert (Dorla) Hartford, MT, Eileen Christensen, Wautoma, Joanne (Jim) Dunn, Pardeeville; sisters-in-law: Irene Hartford, CA, Kathryn "Polly" Hartford, Wautoma; Lydia Edds, IN; brother-in-law: Joe (Shirley) Siefert, Sandwich, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters: Marguerite (John) Thompson, Harland (Arlene) Hartford, Frank Hartford, Della (Clifford) Olson, Rose (Richard) Bruene, Robert Hartford, Darwin Hartford, Keith (Geraldine) Hartford and two brothers-in-law: Willard Christensen, Ernie Siefert and sister-in-law: Elaine Siefert.

A private family memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma with burial in Woodville Cemetery.
