Thomas “Tom” Kaltenbach, age 63, of Wautoma, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 17, 2021. Tom was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 25, 1958 to Robert and Lorraine Kaltenbach. He as united in marriage to the love of his life, Joyce Liberton at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Wauwatosa, WI on April 15, 1989. He attended Pius and Washington High Schools. Tom later attended Moraine Park Technical College where he took courses in Web Developing. He was hired by A.O. Smith where he worked as a Production Welder for many years. He later was hired by the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee where he delivered meals to the Veteran’s.
Tom was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and walking. More than anything Tom enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Tom’s most precious legacy is his 5 grandchildren, who he loved playing with and teaching them new things.
He lived life to the fullest and was a big kid at heart. He was honest, kind, loving, and full of life. Tom was known for his loud, mischievous laugh and a smile that lit up the room.
Tom is survived by his wife: Joyce Kaltenbach; daughter: Elizabeth (Justin) Tibbits of Hancock, WI; grandchildren: Riley, Conner, Kegan, Jaxson, and Tanner; mother: Lorraine Kaltenbach; siblings: Donald, Robert (Susan), Gary (Kathleen), Ken (Alana), Daniel (Kathy), Christine (Michael); many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom also had many friends in whose hearts he will live forever. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Robert Kaltenbach; sister-in-law: Barbara and his mother-in-law: Bobbie.
Tom will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 364 S. Cambridge Street, Wautoma, WI. The family will greet relatives and friends at church from 10:00 am until mass at 11:00 am.
