Theresa C. Konieczki, age 78, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully, Wednesday afternoon, May 12, 2010 at her home with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 12, 1931 in Stevens Point, the daughter of late Aloise and Minnie (Skierka) Zoromski. She married James W. Konieczki on May 7, 1952 in Stevens Point.
Mrs. Konieczki graduated from PJ Jacobs High School in 1949. She was employed at Speed Queen in Wautoma and Ripon for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, polka dancing, music, word searches, pets and entertaining family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James W. Konieczki, Wautoma; five children, Debra (Emmit) West, Diane (Bernie) Biesek, Karen (Jeff) Polfuss, Donna (Don) Krempleski and Mike (Angie) Konieczki, all of Wautoma; 12 grandchildren, Harvey and Brian West, Nathan (Mary) Biesek, Jered and Jenny Biesek, Niki (Scott) Hill, Megan (fiancé, John-Aaron Zelienka) Polfuss, Cami Polfuss, all of Wautoma, Kristin (Adam) Reichold, Hawaii, Kelly Krempleski, Jordan and Leah Konieczki; one great grandchild, Kaden Hill, all of Wautoma; three sisters, Maryann Brown and Barb King, both of Stevens Point, Betty (Doug) Maeder, Wisconsin Rapids; four brothers, Jim Zoromski, Marshfield, Eddie Zoromski, Washington, DC, Red Zoromski, Bobbie (Dianne) Zoromski, both of Stevens Point; further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many special friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Steve Konieczki.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma with the Rev. Robert L. Stegmann officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church.
