Sydney D. Small, age 16, of Plainfield, died Thursday morning June 14, 2012 as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the town of Plainfield.
She was born November 9, 1995 in Steven Point, the daughter of James and Charlene (Sigourney) Small.
Sydney would have been a Junior at Tri-County High School where she loved to play volleyball and was the catcher for the girls JV softball team. She was active in National Honor Society, Solo Ensemble and played trumpet and flute in the school band. Sydney had a love for her family and friends, especially her dog Ranger.
She is survived by her parents, James and Charlene Small, Plainfield; her sister, Branda (Pedro) Vieyra and their children, Jesus and Amara Vieyra, all of Marshfield; her maternal grandmother, Blanche Sigourney, Wautoma; paternal grandparents, James and Shirley Small of Oklahoma; her aunts and uncles, Cindy Small, Linda (Wayne) Dirck, Esther (Mike) Tankersley, Mary Small, Patricia Small, the late, Ed (Sylvia) Sigourney, Mitch (special friend, Patti) Sigourney, Eileen Sigourney, Kevin (Jackie) Sigourney, Corey Sigourney. Further survived by many cousins and special friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hancock Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Coloma. Visitation will be 3:00 -6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hancock Wesleyan Church and from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Sydney's name has been established.
