Susana "Sue" Billman, age 73 of Plainfield, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2011 at St. Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point with her loving family by her side after a short, courageous battle with lung cancer.
She was born August 11, 1937 in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Federico and Maria (Munoz) Martinez. She married Russell Billman, Sr. on February 3, 1957 in El Paso, TX. Together they shared 54 years of love and marriage.
Sue moved from El Paso, Texas to Wisconsin in 1963 to make a home and live with her husband and raise her family. She was a woman of strong faith and was a member of the Plainfield Baptist Church for many years. Sue enjoyed fishing trips in Minnesota, family get-togethers, traveling, playing cards, reading, dancing and making trips to the Casino. She had an awesome sense of humor and never failed to make anyone laugh.
She is survived by her husband Russell Billman, Sr. of Plainfield; children, Russell, Jr. (significant other Ann) Billman, Plover; Jacqueline (LeRoy) Cayce, Almond; Diane (Mark) Roeske, Bancroft; and Debra (Joel) Kramer, Wisconsin Rapids; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and one son-in-law, Conrad Wolosek. She is further survived by two brothers, Fred (Astela) Martinez, Johnny (Rona) Martinez; three sisters, Delia Alvarado, Martha (Louis) Corral, Rosa Martinez, one aunt Elana "Helen" Carpio, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her grandparents and parents, she was preceded in death by one infant sister, Juanita Martinez, one daughter Mary Lou Wolosek and one infant grandson, Matthew Roeske.
Funeral Services for Susana "Sue" Billman will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 6:00pm in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Inurnment will take place at Plainfield Cemetery at a later date.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00pm until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
The Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home of Plainfield is assisting the family with the arrangements.
