Sue Latzko

September 23, 1953 — July 17, 2013

Sue Ann (Bainbridge) Latzko, age 59 of Appleton, passed away on July 17, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on September 23, 1953 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of George and Mary (Humphrey) Bainbridge. Sue graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point, obtained her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland and her Master's Degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Sue married Michael Latzko of Appleton on August 14, 1976. She and Mike spent nineteen years in Germany. Sue showed the Department of Defense School's teachers from across the world ways to integrate computers into their classrooms. Upon their return to the United States, they relocated to Phoenix, AZ where she worked as the head of Distance Learning Department for the State of Arizona Supreme Court. In December of 2012 they relocated to Appleton, WI. Sue was a well-known authority in Medieval Clothing and she enjoyed sharing her love of cooking with others. Sue also enjoyed writing and was in the process of making a cook book.

Sue is survived by her husband: Michael Latzko, Appleton; mother: Mary Bainbridge, Wautoma; sister: Sandra Ahern, Marietta, GA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: George Bainbridge.

A remembrance service will be held at 1PM on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 12PM (NOON) until the time of service at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association in Sue's name.
