Steven "Steve" Allen Samuel

Steven “Steve” Allen Samuel, age 71 a resident at Care Partners Assisted Living, Winneconne passed away on Sunday, February 9 2025 at Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh after a 10 year battle with dementia. He was born in Milwaukee on December 27, 1953 to Emil and Mary (Morrison) Samuel. Steve worked for many years at Oshkosh Truck and owned and operated his own transmission repair shop - SAMCO. In his younger days he enjoyed working on restoring his GTO and riding his Harley until a motorcycle accident in 1999 left him with a traumatic brain injury. In his later years, Steve enjoyed playing slot machines at the casino, spending time with his daughter, watching old westerns and eating chocolate bars.

Steve is survived by his daughter: Alexia Samuel, Oshkosh; her mother: Jan Blader, Wautoma; step son: Mark Krueger, Redgranite; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Judy and Donna and brother: Tommy. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Waushara World War II Veterans Memorial Building, 210 E. Main St, Wautoma from 11AM to 12PM. Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma is assisting the family with arrangements. www.leiknessfuneralhome.com
