Shirley Mae Vine, age 88, of Wautoma, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born on May 10, 1928 in Manitowoc to Byron and Olive (Draves) Heinkel. She graduated high school in Milwaukee in 1947. Shirley worked at the Wisconsin Veterans Home as a CNA and received the State of Wisconsin Governors award in grateful appreciation for 21 years of dedicated service to the State of Wisconsin. She loved her kitties, enjoyed playing video games, watching horse movies and Lord of the Rings movies, stuffed animals with “boogie eyes”, but most of all, Shirley loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her children: Cheryl Sosebee, Craig Vine, Don (Marilyn) Vine, Patti (Tim) Schultz; grandchildren: Melissa, Jim Jr., Dawn, Sarah, Charlie, Teri, Dale, Chris, Tim, Joey, Cory, Shanna, Bill, April, Amanda; numerous great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Gail; sister: Joyce Denk and brother: Byron Heinkel.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 1PM at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Pete Zietlow. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12PM (NOON) until the time of services at 1PM.
