Sadie M. Beggs, age 90, of rural Plainfield, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Wild Rose Manor.
She was born August 13, 1922 in Coloma, the daughter of Claude and Joy (Powell) Brown. She married John E. Beggs on January 18, 1940 in Iowa. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2003.
Mrs. Beggs farmed with her husband in the town of Almond for many years. She also worked at Turzinski Poultry Farms of Almond and later Del Monte Corporation in Plover.
She is survived by John (Judy) Beggs, Plainfield, Robert (Evelyn) Beggs, Hancock; one daughter Janice (John) Peterson, Michigan; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; one brother, Vern Brown Sr., Hixton; one sister, Vaneta (Jack) Willis, South Beloit; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two grandson and one brother.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in the Spiritland Cemetery, Town of Almond. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services.
