Ronald "Ron" Ibe

Ronald John Ibe, born February 18, 1941, age 78, of Neenah, formerly of Waupaca, WI and New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Parkview Health Care Center with his family by his side. He was born on February 18, 1941 in Grafton, WI to Phillip and Catherine (Eernesse) Ibe. Ron was in the U.S. Navy from1958 to 1962. In  June of 1963 Ron met his wife and soulmate, Sandra Ann Nelsen. The couple were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI on January 18, 1964. They moved to Milwaukee and started their family, having four beautiful children. Ron worked in construction and then went on to truck driving. After the children were grown, Sandi joined Ron and the couple drove semi trucks together for many years, traveling through 49 states and Canada. He enjoyed knife making, playing guitar and spending time with his family.

Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years and lifelong soulmate Sandra Ibe; son Robert (Mae) Ibe and their children Zachary (Kimberly Hopfensperger) Ibe, Nicholas Ibe, and Sydney Ibe; son Richard (Kelly Bartel) Ibe and his children Brondon (Emily) Ibe, Shona (Logan Werth) Ibe; daughter Brenda (Dale) Works and their daughter Nicole Works; son Shaun (Kelly) Ibe and their children Anissa Ibe and Brianna (Shae) Coyle; 4 great grandchildren; Leslie Ziebell, Brayden Coyle, Brockton Coyle and Nora Werth. He is also survived by his brother Phillip (Carol) Ibe, sister Lucille (Al) Lange, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Louis and Duane, and sister Lenore.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2PM to 5PM at Highlands of Mahler Park Community Room, 1555 Lyon Dr., Neenah, WI.
