Ronald J. Ebert, age 81, of Hancock, passed away Monday, afternoon, July 8, 2013 at Wild Rose Manor.
He was born June 5, 1932 in Horicon, the son of the late Andrew F. and Selma I. (Breitkruetz) Ebert. He was united in marriage to Joyce Putskey on October 27, 1956.
Ronald was a 1951 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. After graduation he entered the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ebert was employed at the former Nelson Muffler in Wautoma until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time at the lake to relax and reflect.
He is survived by his former wife, Joyce, Wautoma; three sons, Gregory Ebert, Wautoma, Dean (Cindy) Ebert, Hancock, Kevin (Dawn) Ebert, Corona, CA.; four grandchildren, Michael (Rosa) Ebert, Jodi Ebert (Christian), Jamie (Tim) Minnema, Angela Ebert; two step-grandsons, Kyle and Brady Baldukas; two great grandchildren, Samantha Minnema and Andrew Ebert; one sister, Joyce (Orville) Schaller, South Dakota; one brother, Wayne (Sallie) Ebert, St. Germain; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Dennis Ebert.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield, WI. Burial will follow with full military honors in the Woodville Cemetery, Town of Deerfield, Waushara County. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
