Ronald Banasiak

Ronald Michael Banasiak, age 74, of Wautoma, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015 at Heritage Health in Peru, IL.

He was born Dec. 6, 1940 in Chicago, IL, the son of Anthony and Violet Banasiak. He married the former Gloria Jean Galkin on Aug. 28, 1965 in Chicago. She preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 2009.

Ron and his late wife resided in Peru, IL before moving to Wautoma in 2002. He was employed as a millwright at Crown Cork & Seal in Chicago until his retirement. Ron enjoyed woodworking, fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by his son, Tim Banasiak, Peru, IL; grandchildren, Madyson Jean Banasiak, Marc Lansing, Ryan Janz, Jeremiah Banasiak, Jacob Banasiak, and Joshua Banasiak; one sister, Rennie (Tom) Lauraitis, Orland Park, IL; his sister-in-law, Connie Banasiak, Tinley Park, IL. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and by two sons, Nick Banasiak on January 21, 2013 and Brian Banasiak on Dec. 19, 2013.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. David Greskowiak officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL, at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
