Rodney A. Gear, age 76, of Hancock, passed away March 27, 2013 at House of the Dove in Marshfield, with his family at his side.
Rodney was born May 22, 1936 in the town of Leola, Adams County the son of Archie and Jessie Gear.
He lived in Hancock and worked for Paul Miller Farms for the past 30 years. Rodney loved working for his friend Paul Miller and driving tractors for him. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, snowmobiling and driving his lawn tractor for the Hancock parades.
Rodney will be missed by his brothers, Emmett (Susan) Gear, Plover, Harold (Darlene) Gear, Wisconsin Rapids; his sister, Dorothy Strosin, Hillsboro; many nieces and nephews and their families, other relatives and friends; his special friends at The House of the Dove who so loved and cared for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Jessie Gear; a brother, Howard Gear and sister, Lucille Buchanan.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with the Rev. Eric L. Hambrock officiating. Burial will be in the Colburn-Leola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.
