Robert M. Westerhausen, age 81, of Neshkoro, passed away Monday evening, November 19, 2012 at Montello Care Center. He was born on November 20, 1930 in Milwaukee, the son of George and Kathryn (Mesenbourg) Westerhausen. He married Carol Hoppe on November 20, 1954 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Menomonee Falls. Robert served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for many years in maintenance and later owned Carol's Repair and the Lake Burnita Campground. Robert was a very smart and hardworking man that loved to invent new things and build homes. He had a very generous heart and will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Carol; three children, John Westerhausen, William (Carla) Westerhausen and Joan (Steve Rajchel) Westerhausen; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers-in-law Robert and Ronald Anderson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother George (Jean) Westerhausen, Jr. and his sister Marilyn (John) Ihlenfeld. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma with Rev. Robert Stegmann officiating. He will be laid to rest in Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in King with full military honors. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00am until the time of services at the Church.
