Robert Schubert

October 20, 1922 — February 24, 2011

Robert F. Schubert, age 88, of Coloma, passed away unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, February 24, 2011 at his home.
He was born October 20, 1922 in Waushara County, the son of Ferdinand and Othelia (Krause) Schubert. He married Margaret Van Kleef on June 29, 1946 in Waupun.
Robert served his country in the United States Army with the 382nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery in New Guinea. Mr. Schubert and his wife operated Schubert's South Side Store in Richford from 1970 until 1979. He also worked for Kraft Foods of Beaver Dam and Brakebush Brothers of Westfield. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Richford.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Schubert, Coloma; three children, Jonathan (Diane) Schubert, Coloma, Frederick (Brenda) Schubert, Oshkosh Donna (Dennis) Bruch, Hartland; his grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Brenda, Greg, Jessica, Carissa, Seth and Hillary; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Rodney (Betty) Schubert, Columbus; two sisters, Mavis Grosenick, Wautoma, Lois (Pete) Jahnke, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Ray Patton.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. Private family burial will be in the Richford Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. Sunday until the time of services at the funeral home.
