Robert Nogle

Robert L. "Bob" Nogle, died Saturday May 10, 2014. He was born in Buffalo County, Wisconsin on August 28, 1920, the son of Lewis S. and Amalia (Rasmus) Nogle. He was educated in Eau Claire, Wisconsin

In October 1940, as a member of Machine Gun Troop, 105th Cavalry, 32nd Division, Wisconsin National Guard, he was inducted into the US Army serving 5 years. In 1943 as a member of the 173rd Field Artilliary, he became a part of the 5th Army.

Mr. Nogle came to Plainfield in 1951 to become part of the Tri-County High School Faculty as an Industrial Arts teacher, Science teacher, Drivers Education teacher and Mathematics teacher. These subjects were taught over a 34 year period.

He is a perpetual member of Masonic Lodge 148, a member since 1965. He was also an active life member of V.F.W Post 608 and a member of the American Legion for 58 years.

In the community he was a member of Plainfield Advancement, and a member of the Plainfield Lions Club. He held offices of President, Treasurer and 11 years as Secretary.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Adrian and Marshall, and two sisters, Margaret Broten and Joyce Peterson. Beloved uncle of nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews and many special friends. It was Bob's wishes that there be no funeral or service. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire, Wisconsin
