Robert S. Mager

Robert Spencer Mager, age 81, of Redgranite, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at his home.

He was born December 10, 1941 in Milwaukee, the son of Irving and Evelyn (Koeper) Mager. He married the love of his life, Sandra “Sandy” S. Fritsch on August 14, 1971 in Milwaukee.

Robert was a graduate of Milwaukee Lutheran High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Later, he was employed as an emergency generator service technician for Inland Diesel of Milwaukee for many years until his retirement. A hardworking bashful family man, he enjoyed camping, jazz music, collecting music memorabilia, and above all, dining out.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra “Sandy” S. Mager, Redgranite; five children: Rick Fritsch, West Allis, Robert (Amy Lynn) Mager, Sussex, Michael (Kathleen) Mager, Wautoma, Kathleen (Lee) Elliott, Milwaukee, Susan Michel, Mukwonago; 11 grandchildren: Alexis (Hailey) Fritsch, Amy Marie (Ben) Mueller, Kyle Mager, Michael Mager Jr., Sophia Mager, Anneliese Mager, William Mager, Nicholas Crisp, Nathan Michel, Ava Michel and Cassandra Yerkey; one brother: Chris Kneisler, West Allis. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Karen Mager; and by his granddaughter, Victoria Mager.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. P. Michael Thomas officiating. Burial with military honors will be on Monday, February 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King, WI
