Robert Richard Hoffa Sr., age 88, of rural Coloma, passed away Tuesday evening, Dec. 15, 2015 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 20, 1927 in Milwaukee, the son of Joseph and Anna (Pischek) Hoffa. He married the former Betty Jane Bruneske on July 23, 1949 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on Aug. 4, 1992.
Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1946 until 1948. He came to Coloma in the early 1950's. In the mid 1970's, he founded Triple H Farms, Inc. with his two sons where he farmed for many years until his retirement. An avid outdoorsmen, he loved fishing, hunting, football, snowmobiling, stock car racing, and gardening.
He is survived by five children, Marsha (Randy) Thomson, Fitchburg, Dan (Kim) Hoffa Sr., Coloma, Jo-Ann (Gary) Chilewski, Coram, MT, Bobby Hoffa Jr., Coloma, Kathy (Jeff) Lehman, Park Falls; 12 grandchildren, Zachary Thomson, Sarah Thomson, Dan (Brittany) Hoffa Jr., Tiffany Faccio, Lauren Hoffa, Jake Hoffa, Bryan Chilewski, Jennifer (Brian) Dombrowksi, Jim (Jacki) Hoffa, Scott (Kristin) Hoffa, Shauna (Jeff) Ludvigsen, and Ashley Lehman; nine
great grandchildren, Olivia, Weston, Nadia, Sidney, Bowden, Calvin, Adrian, John, and Laura. He is further survived by one brother, Tom Hoffa Sr. Coloma, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and by one sister, Shirley (Rich) Buneta.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Pastor Milt Duntley officiating. Burial will be in Richfield's Good Shepherd Park Cemetery, Adams County.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
