Robert Couey

Robert J. Couey, age 81, of Grand Marsh, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011 at his home. He was born Mary 24, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Faith (Johnson) Couey. He married Nancey Jane Kraukau on May 2, 1987 in Cuday. Robert was employed as a Union Plumber in the Milwaukee area for many years until his retirement. He and his wife moved from South Milwaukee to Grand Marsh in 1991. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coloma. Bob loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Nancey Jane Couey, Grand Marsh; one son, David (Sandra) Anderson, Wautoma; one granddaughter, Mary Cathryn Anderson; three sisters, Jane Lobatzke, Cudahy, Dora (LeRoy) Stanoz, Wausau, Sharon (Eugene) Alden, Iron Mountain. He is further survived by his dear friends, Dennis and Susan Apps, Coloma. He was preceded in death by his parents and by four sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coloma with Pastor Kelli Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12 noon until the time of services at the church.
