Robert Ervin Bohn, age 82 of Coloma passed away at Aspirus Medical Center in Wausau on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
Bob was born in Wild Rose on July 20, 1941 to Ervin and Alma (Podoll) Bohn. He graduated from Westfield High School with the Class of 1959. Bob married the love of his life, Mary, on October 6, 1962 in Plainfield.
Bob worked at the paper mill after graduation and also drove truck for Plainfield Trucking. He joined the Waushara Highway Department Road crew before becoming the highway commissioner. After retirement, Bob worked at Charles Chevrolet and Flyte Family Farms, just to keep him busy. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley and restoring his John Deere tractors which he proudly showed off to anyone that came to visit.
He is survived by his children: Jere Bohn, Dale (Brenda) Bohn and Lynda (James) Myrick; grandchildren: Renee, Bailey (Sam), Karen, Jason (Gwen); great grandchildren: Cameron and Nolan; one sister: Clarice Babbe; He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years; his parents; and by his brother-in-law, Robert Babbe.
A private burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Coloma. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the Richford Community Center.
Any memorials will be given to Coloma Lions Park and Westfield High School FFA.
