Richard J. Reese was peacefully born to eternal life on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his beloved family.
Dick was born on August 15, 1929 to the late Harry and Florence (Molus) Reese in Berlin, Wisconsin. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Wanda & Matthew Molus.
Dick married the love of his life, Nancy C. Reese (nee Doro) on November 12, 1955 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Berlin, Wisconsin.
Together, Dick and Nancy raised six amazing children. He was a loving, dedicated, husband, father and grandfather. He had 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dick loved God, his family and the outdoors. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. He spent much of his free time developing the family hobby farm, raising Labrador retrievers, hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He was a lifelong employee of Wisconsin Power & Light. He spent 35 years as the manager of the Wautoma of WP&L.
Survivors include children: Martha Chamness-Reese (daughter-in-law), Pam (Bob) Bartelt, Patty (Tim) Gapen, Patience (Jon) Jazdzewski, Pearl (Peter) Grimm as well as many treasured family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Reese and two children: Peter J. Reese and Paula E. Reese. He was also preceded in death by: sister Betty Jurgella, brothers-in-law, Carl Jurgella, Michael J. Doro, Dick Doro, Bob Weink, and sister-in-law, Judy Weink, his parents, Harry and Florence (Molus) Reese, and his beloved grandparents Matthew and Wanda Molus.

Funeral services with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Wautoma. There will be a visitation preceding the funeral from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Church.
