Richard (Dick) "Gunny" J. Geller, age 86 of Wautoma, formerly of Racine died unexpectedly on Monday, February 6, 2017. He was born in Gary, IN on September 9, 1930 to Charles and Florence Geller. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corp in 1950. Gunny served with the 3rd Battalion 7th Marines in Korea for one tour and the 1st Battalion 9th Marines in Vietnam for two tours and retired honorably in 1970. On November 12, 1955 he married Eve Chardukian who was also a Marine. The couple lived in Racine where Gunny worked at Sears as a Master Mechanic and then at JI Case Company at the SPS Plant in Sturtevent, WI where he retired for good. After Eve's passing, Gunny moved to the Wautoma area. Gunny enjoyed hunting, collecting guns, fishing and taxidermy. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Semper Fi.

Gunny is survived by his sons: Rick (Heidi) Geller, Racine, Scott (Deborah) Geller, Appleton; grandchildren: Samantha (PJ) Reasons, Sarah (Erik Lyngdal) Geller, Sawyer Geller, Aaron Geller, Ashley Geller, Andrew Geller, Alexis (Collin) Grzyb, Spencer Zold; great grandchildren: Miles Grzyb, Kenzie Reasons, Cole Reasons; brother: David (Barb) Geller; sisters: Carol (Gary) Russell, Linda Geller; special friend: Ellen Scheibe; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Eve Geller on August 13, 1991; brothers: Mike, Chuck, Ernie and sister Rosalee.

Funeral services and full military honors will be held at 12:30PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, Racine. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma from 2-4PM and again at West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, Racine from 11AM until the time of services at 12:30PM.
