Richard L. Czlapinski, age 74, of Plainfield passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at his residence. He was born February 18, 1937 the son of Martin and Myrtle Czlapinski and grew up in the Plainfield area. Richard married Betty McGregor in September 1957.
Richard enjoyed working as an auto mechanic and started Plainfield Auto Salvage in 1963. He and his wife later transitioned into farming in 1973. He liked fixing up cars and playing cards as well as making visits to the casino. Richard treasured his wife, children, grandbabies, family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Betty; seven children, Travis (Gabriella) Czlapinski, Tamie (Agurys Perez) Czlapinski, Tina Czlapinski, Tim (Christina) Czlapinski, Tony (Roxanne) Czlapinski, NonaKay Czlapinski-McKenzie and Pamela (Duane) Goman; grandchildren, Sophia Ann Czlapinski, Hannah, Kaely, Katy, Allayna and AJ Perez, EmmaJewel, Brandon, Dakota, Destiny-Ann and Ashton Czlapinski, Ryan, Robin, Randy and Richard Pollard, Victoria Czlapinski-McKenzie, James Todd McKenzie, Serenity (David Quigley) Goman and Cassandra Goman; two great-grandchildren Nicholas Foster and Greggory Quigley. He is further survived by his brothers, Larry (Shirley) Czlapinski, Phil (Carol) Czlapinski, Fred (Linda) Czlapinski, George (Jean) Czlapinski; one sister, Eleanor Phillips, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons Todd and Thomas Czlapinski and one brother Clayton Czlapinski.
A memorial luncheon will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 1:00pm at Tamie Czlapinski's home. W13946 Alp Avenue, Plainfield, WI 54966.
