Phyllis E. Marsh, age 80, of Plainfield, died peacefully with her husband by her side on Friday, July 8, 2011, at her home following a three year battle with cancer. She was born April 26, 1931 in the Town of Oasis, Waushara County, the daughter of Mylen and Tressie (Grimm) Hetzel. She married Richard L. Marsh on June 26, 1959 at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. Phyllis farmed with her family on the Hetzel family homestead in the Town of Oasis for many years. She loved gardening, raising flowers, and crossword puzzles. Phyllis also enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing Bingo and fishing. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Richard L. Marsh, Plainfield; three sisters-in-law, Peggy Hetzel, Plainfield, Beryl Flyte, Hancock, Margaret Beeman, Friendship. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald Hetzel and Robert Hetzel; one sister-in-law, Donna Hetzel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Almond United Methodist Church with Rev. David Leistra officiating. Burial will be in North Deerfield Cemetery, Town of Deerfield. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
