Peter J. Cefalu, age 78, of Wautoma, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at Theda-Clark Medical Center, Neenah. He was born May 3, 1933 in Milwaukee, the son of Salvatore and Lillian (Dahlman) Cefalu. He married Barbara A. Janzer in 1982 at Milwaukee. Peter served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed as an electrical worker at AT&T and later for the City of Milwaukee for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and playing Bocce Ball. Peter was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma. He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Cefalu, Wautoma; three sons, Theodore (Lori) Cefalu, John Cefalu, and Peter (Christine) Cefalu; stepchildren, Michael (Bonnie) Maglio, Steven (Jackie) Maglio, Jane Kunath, Lori Maglio, Beth Maglio, and Mary Jo (Theodore) Maglio-Kubisiak; grandchildren, Joseph and Alyssa Cefalu, Kathryn Maglio, Elizabeth Maglio, Alaura Maglio, Caleb Maglio, Courtney Maglio, Steven Kunath, Elaine Kunath, Geremy Kunath, Alexandra Nadolski, Theo Maglio, and Mara Kubisiak; two sisters, Mary (Larry) Horne, Winifred (Douglas) Frew; one brother, Gerald (Eileen) Cefalu. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Patricia Biesel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with the Rev. Robert L. Stegmann officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wautoma. Visitation will be held at the Church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. A Memorial has been established for St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma. The Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma is assisting the family with arrangements.
