The LORD in his infinite wisdom agreed with Patricia “Pat” R. Johnson that it was time for her to come home. She prayed diligently to reach the gates of Heaven. There are no doubts in the minds of those who knew Pat that she is in the arms of Christ Jesus. She lived her 88 years in complete dedication to her Savior.
Pat resided on her beloved Crystal Lake near Wautoma and passed away peacefully Monday evening at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin on February 17, 2025.
She arrived May 24, 1936 in the Town of Forest, Fond du Lac County, the daughter of Ervin and Violet (Tripler) Hinn Sr. She united in marriage to the love of her life, Earl E. Johnson on May 3, 1958 in North Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2011.
Pat was a graduate of North Fond du Lac High School. She and her late husband resided in North Fond du Lac before moving to Appleton and later to Crystal Lake, rural Wautoma in 1978. She was an avid golfer and belonged to the Waushara Country Club Women’s League for many years. Pat was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma where she was active in the Evening Guild.
She was loved and admired by: Kurt (Dawn Wilcox-Johnson) Johnson, Wautoma, Korey (Amy) Johnson, West Bend; two grandchildren: Jade (Joe Weber) Wilcox-Johnson, Wautoma; Stella Bostwick, West Bend; one great-granddaughter: River Wilcox-Weber; two sisters: Janet Halverson, Waukesha, Andrea Roach, North Fond du Lac; her sister—in-law, Kathy Hinn, North Fond du Lac. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Ervin Hinn Jr., Robert Hinn, Ralph Hinn and David Hinn.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank ThedaCare Berlin for the kind and caring individuals that took care of Pat during her stay. Their compassionate treatment was a true blessing for Pat and her family. Your tenderness will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Nathan R. Laska will officiate and burial will be at Dakota Cemetery-South, Town of Dakota. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established for Peace Lutheran Church.
