Norma Elaine Wiesjahn, age 97 of Coloma passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Heartland House, Wautoma. She was born on September 30, 1923 in Coloma to Ben and Gertrude (Spalding) Blackmore. Norma graduated from Coloma High School with the Class of 1941. She worked in Merrimac during WWII. On May 14, 1946 she married George Wiesjahn at the United Methodist Church, Coloma where she was a member for many years. Norma worked in the Coloma Post office for 30 years and retired as Post Master. She enjoyed traveling in their motor home mostly to Texas and Florida in the winter, going to ball games, watching the Packers and Brewers on TV, taking care of her grandchildren when they were little and spending time with family.
Norma is survived by her daughter-in-law: Debbie Wiesjahn; grandchildren: Garrett Wiesjahn, Shanda (Nick Barrette) Wiesjahn; great grandchild: Reagan Barrette; brother: Keith Blackmore; god children: Renee Lefever, Terri Blada; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: George Wiesjahn; son: Steven Wiesjahn; daughter: Marsha Wiesjahn; brothers: Glenn (Florence) Blackmore, Arden (Laura Mae) Blackmore; sister: Vieva (Henry) Sawicki; sister-in-law: Ardena Blackmore nephew: Glenn Blackmore and niece: Sandy Sawicki.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Coloma. The family will greet relatives and friends at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM. www.leiknessfuneralhome.com
