Nicholas P. Lauters, age 76, of Wild Rose, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, while vacationing with his wife in Killarney, Ireland.
He was born January 10, 1937 in Port Washington, the son of Nicholas J. and Rose (Egerer) Lauters. He married Nancy A. Toebe on November 10, 1956 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Milwaukee.
Mr. Lauters was employed by Wisconsin Bell for 30 years until his retirement. He and his wife resided in South Milwaukee for many years before moving to Wild Rose in 1988. He enjoyed square dancing, camping, helping his neighbors, and fixing things around his home. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma and NSDC (National Square Dance Convention).
He is survived by his wife, Nancy A. Lauters, Wild Rose; eight children, Peter Lauters, South Milwaukee, Robert (Lynn) Lauters, South Milwaukee, Bridget (William) Winston, West Allis, Patrick Lauters (Marilyn Goodman), Oak Creek, Christine (Christopher) Mersenski, Milwaukee, Rose (Dan) Calkins, South Milwaukee, Matthew (Amy) Lauters, Mankato, MN, Paul (Sarah) Lauters, Oak Creek; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with Rev. Emmanuel Bialoncik OFM officiating.
Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the
time of services.
Entombment will take place on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Cudahy.
