Miguel Duran

Miguel Angel Duran of Berlin, formerly of Wautoma, gained his wings on Friday, June 12, 2020 after a courageous 21 month battle against Stage IV Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. He was born on September 13, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh. He attended school in Wautoma from Kindergarten to 2nd Grade then attended 3rd Grade at Clay Lamberton School in Berlin. Miguel made many friends during his time here. He made everyone he knew smile. Miguel was a wrestler for the Wautoma Super Stingers since the age of 6 and quickly became the heart of the team with his champion heart and determination. He was a fun bright loving child and enjoyed all sports. Miguel left a lasting imprint on everyone he met. His smile and sweet disposition will be remembered by all who knew him.

Miguel is survived by his mom and step dad: Arlene Bialk and Ray Medrano Jr.; siblings: Marcus Duran, Mia Medrano, Lyla Medrano, Mireli Duran, Anny Duran; grandparents: Elan (Michael) Baehman, Martin (Sara) Duran, Ray Medrano Sr.; great grandmother: Susan Bialk; aunts and uncles: Martin (Iris) Duran, Vickie Duran, Tony (Tina) Neils, Hunter (Bri) Neils, Paulina (Elijah) Salas, Rudy Medrano; his dogs: Blue and Snow; his cats: Tweaks, Squeaks and Spazz; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother: Sue Muzzy; great grandpa: Eugene Bialk; great great grandpa: Ray Wolfgram and his pets: Sasha and Ozzy.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Miguel will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Redgranite Lions Club Hall from 1PM to 4PM followed with a convoy to Berlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Associated Bank in Wautoma in Miguel’s name.
