Michael James Kowalewski

Michael James Kowalewski, age 61 of Wautoma passed away suddenly and unexpected on May 12, 2024.  He was born on June 12, 1962 in Milwaukee to James and Carol (Gehrke) Kowalewski.  Michael was a jack of all trades, working as a sound technician, drywaller with his dad and brothers, and most recently in maintenance.  He enjoyed riding his Harleys and his UTV’s and being a sound technician for many bands, one of his favorite bands was “Storm”.  Michael was also a musician, playing guitar with many bands, family and friends and was an awesome pop pop to his grandchildren and uncle to his nieces and nephews. Michael will be sadly missed by his family and friends.  

Michael is survived by his brothers: Tim (Grace), Shawn (Rosie), Dale; sister: Janet Becker; his fiancé: Amy Hedrick; many nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother in law: Robert Becker; one niece; several cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

 Per Michael’s wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date.
