Michael F. Bleier, 66, Wautoma, entered God's Kingdom on Feb. 12, 2016, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Mike was born in Laona, WI on Oct. 1, 1949 to Fred and Loraine (Hoffman) Bleier. The family stayed in Laona until Mike was in second grade before moving to Glendale, WI. He graduated from Nicolette High School, Glendale and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. After his service, he began an apprenticeship and became a Journeyman Electrician with the I.B.E.W. Local 494 in Milwaukee for more than 30 years. He married Janice A. Green on June 5, 1982 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, WI and they raised 2 wonderful children. In 1988, they bought the Timberland Sport Shop in Wautoma and moved there permanently. Mike continued working in the Milwaukee area and many other parts of the country, but his home base was always Waushara County.
Mike loved Waushara County. His mother was raised in Wautoma and he spent many happy childhood summers with relatives in Wild Rose and Mt Morris. As soon as he could, he bought property so he could spend his weekends in the beautiful outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and taught Hunter Education for many years.
He was a man of few words with a wonderful sense of humor and a streak of mischief. Most of all, he loved and treasured his family.
Mike is survived by: his loving wife, Janice; daughter, Kate (Dave) Molzahn, Faribault, MN; son, Paul (Liz) Bleier, Wautoma; grandchildren Vanessa Lawton, Chaska, MN; Jacques Williston, Oshkosh, WI; Ian and Ella Bleier, Wautoma and great-granddaughter, Selene Lawton. He is further survived by his parents, Fred and Loraine Bleier, Mesa, AZ; brother, Jeff (Charlotte) Bleier, Elkhorn, WI; sister-in-law, Diana Bleier, Sandia Park, NM. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Bleier, Sandia Park, NM.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Crossroads Family Church, 640 S. Water St. Wautoma on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Dan Carlson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Crossroads Family Church.
