Merritt N. Booth, age 90, of Wautoma, passed away Thursday morning,
Nov. 1, 2012 at his granddaughter's home in Wautoma.
He was born May 20, 1922 in Berlin, the son of Fred and Emma (Nelson) Booth. He married Gladys Palm on Dec. 4, 1948.
Merritt farmed in the town of Marion and Dakota. Later, he worked as
a machinist at Speed Queen for many years until his retirement in 1984.
He was a faithful longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School and belonged to the Men's Club. Merritt served as Treasurer for Maple Grove Cemetery Association for 50 years
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Booth, Wautoma; his son-in-law, Carl Pomplun, King; two grandchildren, Jane (George) Reepsdorf, Wautoma,
Todd (Colleen) Pomplun, Green Lake; great grandchildren, Bryant (Kate)
Pomplun, South Carolina, Jake and Ross Pomplun, Green Lake, Nichole
and Matthew Reepsdorf, Wautoma. He is further survived by many
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Pomplun who passed away on August 8, 2000, and by his parents.
Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church in Wautoma with Rev. George J. Kafer
officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Town of Dakota at a later date.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday at the Church from
3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
