Mavis L. Gonzalez, age 82, of Wautoma, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at her daughter's home in Pine River.
She was born April 6, 1934 in Wautoma, the daughter of Walter and Lillian (Schmidt) Wegner.
Mavis worked as an assembler at Kolpin Manufacturing in Berlin for a number of years. Later, she was employed at Paramount Farms in Plainfield. Mavis loved reading, gardening, NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
She is survived by six children, Debra (Steve) Kiesner, Lohrville, Linda (Mike) Thomason, Wautoma, Benita Smith, Wautoma, Estella (Edward) Leppin, Pine River, Maria (Vince) Baurichter, Shreveport, Louisiana, Victor (Julie) Gonzalez, Redgranite; nine grandchildren, Brad, Randy, Danielle, April, Misty, Patrick, Michelle, Samantha, and Edward.; 11 great grandchildren, Jaylah, Oakley, Truman, Serenity, Issac, Amari, Noah, Avery, Oliver, Zen, and Karma; one sister, Lorraine Rivera, Wautoma.
She was preceded in death by her son, James "Speedy" Gonzalez; her grandson, Michael; granddaughter, Maria; brothers, Samuel, John, Joseph, Daniel; sisters, Caroline Hass, Ardena Malnory, and Mildred Pomplun.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov 26, 2016 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma. Burial will follow at West Holden Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Wautoma.
