Our brother, Matt, was taken from us unexpectedly September 24, 2017. Matt was born in Oakland, CA December 8, 1957 to Donald and Loretta Miller.

At the age of 17 he enlisted in the military and was a proud former U.S. Marine. After leaving the service Matt worked a variety of jobs that allowed him to live in different locations that stretched from coast to coast. Matt had the soul of a gypsy and the kindest of hearts. Regardless of where his travels took him Matt befriended most everyone he came in contact with, friendships he carried with him until his final days. He eventually came back to Wisconsin to be closer to his family. He worked until he was forced to retire due to health issues.

Matt was a lover of life and had many talents and interests. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and looked forward to planting his vegetable garden after a long winter. His greatest loves were his family, friends, the outdoors and riding his Harleys.

To sum up Matt's life in words would be an impossibility, but for all who knew and loved Matt we know what an absolutely unique guy he was. His passing will leave a void in all of us…

He is survived by his brother John Miller, sister Donna Miller and brother Donny Miller all of Oshkosh. He is further survived by a son Brian Garrett of Cudahy, WI nephews Jason Miller (Milwaukee), Donald (Matt) Miller, Darrell Wyatt Miller (Oshkosh), John David Miller Jr. (Kentucky) and his niece Kristin Miller (Maui, Hawaii). Matt also leaves behind his faithful dog Willie.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Matt's life Saturday October 14 at 1:00 P.M. at the Electric Lounge, 402 E. Parkway Ave. in Oshkosh , WI. All are welcome to attend.
