Mary Rose Pica

Mary Rose Pica, age 88, of Wautoma, passed away early on Wednesday morning, January 25, 2023, at Heartland House, Wautoma.

She was born on May 21, 1934 in Milwaukee, to Eugene J. and Alice Rose (Kapalczynski) West. Mary attended St. Mary’s High School in Milwaukee, and then she attended UW Madison where she earned her degree in pharmacy. She married Frank D. Pica on December 26, 1955 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma.  Mary worked at Gene’s Drug Store in Wautoma until her retirement in 1973. She was a faithful member and lector of St. Joseph Parish.

Mary is survived by one brother, Glenn (Carolyn) West, Wautoma; one sister, Kathleen (Juergen) Krueger, Aiken, SC; and many dear nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband Frank on October 24, 2012, parents, and one brother Gene (Nancy) West.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12PM (NOON) on Tuesday, January 31 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Wautoma with burial to follow in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Redgranite. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Tuesday from 11:30AM until the time of Mass at 12PM.
