Mary Jo Patterson, age 54, of Plainfield, passed away early Sunday morning, June 12, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. She was born October 5, 1956 in Berlin, the daughter of Frank "Jerry" and Dorothy (Freigang) Rothermel. She married William C. "Bill" Patterson on September 23, 1978 in Stevens Point. Mary Jo was a 1974 graduate of Tri-County High School in Plainfield and later the Wisconsin School of Cosmetology. She operated Mane Quarters Hair Design in Plainfield since 1990. She was a member of the Plainfield Business Association. Mary Jo deeply loved her family and especially enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, William C. "Bill" Patterson, Plainfield; her daughter, Amber (Brad) Garner, Almond; her son, Preston Patterson, Plainfield; two grandchildren, Kylie and Karson Garner; her parents,
Jerry and Dorothy Rothermel, Plainfield; three brothers, Mike (Cindy) Rothermel, Plover, Steve (Karen Kalata) Rothermel, Nekoosa, Kelly (Lauri) Rothermel, Plainfield; her in-laws, Lawrence and Betty Timm, Plainfield, Robert and Joey Patterson, Wautoma; her brother-in-law, Bob (Kelly Vroman) Patterson, Plainfield. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Plainfield United Methodist Church with Rev. John Slotten officiating. Inurnment will be at Plainfield Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield and at the Church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A Memorial is being established.
