Mary L. Gruendemann, age 86, a resident of Wisconsin Veteran's Home, King, formerly of Waukesha, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 19, 2013. She was born in Milwaukee to Elmer and Viola (Carrington) Fidler. Mary attended normal school and UW Madison. She was married to Daniel H. Gruendemann and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1996. Mary worked for many years at RTE. She enjoyed reading and was an active church member. During her retirement, Mary was very involved with volunteering in many different capacities. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her daughters: Meg Gruendemann, Sara Stelter, Rachel (Norriss) Lehman, Paula (Doug) Milner; daughter-in-law: Julie Gruendemann; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Daniel Gruendemann; sons: Daniel (Cheryl) Gruendemann, James Gruendemann; son-in-law: John Stelter; brothers: Eugene Fidler and Jack (Violet) Fidler.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma led by Pastor George Kafer. A memorial gathering will be held from 1pm at church on Friday until the time of service at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family expresses memorials in Mary's name to a local Food Pantry of your choice.
