Marvin Henry Heller, age 88 of Coloma, died on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at his home. He was born on May 10, 1928 to Frederick and Tena (Reibe) Heller. After graduating from Lincoln High School, Wisconsin Rapids, Marvin joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany and was later honorably discharged. On June 26, 1954 he married Nancy Fay Schultz in Coloma. Marvin then worked at Fritz Sand & Gravel, Westfield, hauling milk cans and then farmed for many years. After retirement, Marvin drove dump truck for Terry Semrow and later Midstate Trucking & Excavating.
Marvin is survived by his sons: Timothy Heller, Jerry (Deb) Heller; daughter; Lisa Grass; grandchildren: Shawn (Julie Schultz) Heller, Rachel Lang, Jessica Lang; foster children: Jeffrey and Douglas Lang and their families; brother: Harvey (JoAnn) Heller; sisters: Evelyn (Don) Roehl, Irene (Norman) Jensen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Wife: Nancy Fay Heller and brother: Raymond.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coloma. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Jacob Gawlik. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors accorded by the United States Army Honors Team and Rogers-Oestrich American Legion Post 343. The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday at church from 9AM until the time of services at 11AM.
