Marlene Ann Eberle, age 74, of Wautoma, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at her home. She was born August 28, 1937 at Arlington Heights, IL the daughter of Martin W. and Eldrid (Jahnke) Engelking. She married George H. Eberle on May 4, 1963. Marlene was a graduate of Arlington Heights High School. She was employed as a reservationist for United Airlines in Chicago for many years.
Later, she operated the Village Barber Shop in Arlington Heights until her retirement. She and her husband moved to the Town of Mount Morris in 1995. She enjoyed being a member of the Women's Bowling League in Wautoma. Marlene was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma. She is survived by her husband, George H. Eberle, Wautoma; one daughter, Noelle Renee (Rob) DeVito, Streamwood, IL; one grandson, Matthew George DeVito; one sister, Lorel (Bill) Boesch, Palatine, IL; two brothers, LeRoy (Jan) Engelking, Wautoma, Glen Engelking, Winneconne; her nephew, Bradley Boesch, Poynette. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Audrey Kay; her brother-in-law, Richard Eberle. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Rev. Gregory D. Hyatt officiating. Inurnment will be at Wautoma Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
