Marjorie Domke Knapp, age 96, of Wautoma, passed away Friday evening, November 9, 2012 at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma. She was born June 11, 1916 in the Town of Hancock, the daughter of William and Lena (Mierhofer) Nelson. She married Darwin Domke in 1932. He preceded her in death. Later, she married Russell Knapp. He passed away in 2011. Marjorie and her late husband, Darwin resided at rural Hancock where they farmed for many years. She worked as a Nursing Assistant at Wild Rose Hospital. Following her marriage to Russell, they resided at Port Edwards and spent the winter months in New Mexico. She enjoyed collecting unusual rocks along with painting them and decorating gourds. Marjorie is survived by two sons, Arleigh (Darlene) Domke, Wautoma, Duane (Joyce) Domke, Stevens Point. She is further survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with both of her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Myrtle Warren and Jessie Lant; seven brothers, Red, Ira, Dennis, George, Art, John, and Merle Nelson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma. Burial will be in Hancock Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
