Marguerite Dealey, longtime Wautoma resident, passed away peacefully at age 96, on July 15, 2015 at Auburn Manor, Chaska, MN. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 20, 1918 in Spring Lake, WI, the daughter of Pasquale and Anna (Londowski) Troceno. She married William W. Dealey in Rockford, IL. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1994.
Marguerite attended Redgranite High School. She and her late husband operated Dealey Oil Company in Wautoma for many years. Marguerite was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma. She was founder of the Rev. George M. Weix Rose Memorial, belonged to the St. Therese Society and the St. Joseph's Council of Catholic Women. Marguerite was a member of Wautoma Women's Club.
Marguerite loved Wautoma and could be seen every day walking her dogs around the block and greeting her neighbors. Her faith was strong and she said the rosary every day; praying for her friends and family. Lovingly known as "Nonnie" to her 7 grandchildren, she was an amazing grandmother. During the summers she hosted her grandchildren for weeks on end. We would raise ducks, geese, chickens, fish, swim, hike, visit with old friends and family and even older friends and family at the cemetery. She would take them for trips to the old Dealey farm, play music, kick the can, walk around the block with the dogs after dinner, make pickles, pick strawberries and eat short cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and pick and eat sweet corn for lunch and dinner, watch Johnny Carson, and hold hands with us while we fell asleep.
Marguerite is survived by her two children and their spouses, Janice (Dealey) and Douglas Fenske of Waconia, MN and Robert and Veronica Dealey of Williams Bay, WI. Nonnie is also survived by 7 grandchildren and their spouses: William and Amy Fenske, Anne and Jay Cecko, Paul and Beth Fenske, Bill and Anne Dealey, Julie and Henry Spieker, Bob Dealey and fiancé Dawn Owens McKinney, and Heather and Rik Kleven; 12 great grand-children: Marguerite and Anthony Cecko; Dylan and Dustin Fenske; Patrick, Ben, Kathryn and Joseph Dealey; Jack and Cole Spieker; and Matthew Dealey and Boe Kleven. She is further survived by an extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her husband, Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings: Rose Troceno, Vernie Russell, Victoria Sorenson, Gertrude LaCourt, Antone Troceno and Jaynes Troceno.
