Marc Sellenheim

Marc Sellenheim, age 57, of Wautoma, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at his home.

He was born July 17, 1963 in Milwaukee, WI the son of George and Charmaine (Stachowiak) Sellenheim. He married the love of his life, the former Barbara Jean Nimphius July 18, 1997. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2016.

Marc was a graduate of West Milwaukee High School. He was employed at Nimphius Boat Company of Neshkoro as a boat builder from 1984 until 2002. Later, he owned Willow Grove Woodworking of rural Wautoma and specialized in custom wood projects. He will be remembered for his dedication to restoring the Nimphius family homestead in the town of Crystal Lake and his stewardship to the land. Marc loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed deer hunting.

He is survived by one daughter, Betty Sellenheim, Denmark, WI; cousins, Mike E. (Sharon) Bloom, Tommy (Cindy) Bloom, Niki Pulvermacher (Nick Cravillion); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ferdinand J.  Nimphius Sr., Lauri A. (Paul) Wagner, Alex E.F. (Linda) Nimphius, Mary L. (John) Horrocks, and Joy E. (Jeff) Moore. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Don Ropiak; uncle George and aunt Bea Bloom; his in-laws, Ferdinand and Betty Nimphius; a sister-in-law, Elisabeth C. Bacchian; and a nephew, Ferdinand J. Nimphius Jr.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face masks will be required.
