Lynn M. Breunig, age 59, of Hancock, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 24, 2012 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born February 3, 1953 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Paul B.
and Marilyn J. (Johnsrud) Gilberts. She married Steven Breunig on August 30, 1996. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2000.
Lynn was employed for over 20 years as a CNA for Meriter Retirement Home in Madison. After moving to Hancock, she worked at Whispering Pines Nursing home in Plover for 2 years until her illness forced her to retire.
Lynn is survived by her children, Jennifer Saalsaa and her children, Dalton and Leneah Kaetterhenry and Tyson Miller all of Neillsville, Jerald (Julie) Saalsaa and their children, Chloe, Naomi and Grady of Cambria, Melinda Saalsaa, Marshfield, Jon Paul (Melanie) Saalsaa, Spencer; her sisters, Nancy L. (special friend, Todd Miller) Gilberts-Keegan, Hancock, Jane (Edward) Diederich, Madison, her twin sister, Lee A. (Gregory) Hellickson, Montfort, Brach Gilberts, Lodi, Scott Gilberts, Milwaukee, Jody (Randall) Wiza, Greenfield; further survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, one sister, Kaye Louise Gilberts and one brother, Barry Dean Gilberts.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
