Luise Bichler, age 96, formerly of Wautoma, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Park View Health Center in Oshkosh.
She was born March 24, 1920 in Diez, Germany the daughter of Hermann and Katharine (Bauer) Reinhard. She married Ferdinand Bichler on April 1, 1942 in Germany. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1993.
Luise emigrated with her husband and children from Germany to the United States on January 29, 1955. They settled in Aurora, Illinois where they resided for many years before moving to Wautoma in 1978. She enjoyed crocheting, flowers, baking and cooking her old German recipes.
She is survived by two sons, Hans (Birgit) Bichler, Oshkosh, Rainer (Delores) Bichler, Yacolt, WA; five grandchildren Annette Bichler, Oshkosh, Michael (Teri) Bichler, Green Valley, OR, Lisa (Michael) Ehlinger, Washington, Megan Bichler, Washington, Jacob Bichler, Washington; four great grandchildren, Kristina (Jim) Candlish, Joshua Brudnowski, Kyle (Rebecca) Bichler, Shawn (Heather) Bichler; three great-great grandchildren, Skylynn, Kolina, and Atley.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lotte Kroller, Elizabeth Meyer, Hanna "Joanne" Brendli; two brothers, Wilhelm Reinhard and Karl Reinhard.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma with Rev. David Greskowiak officiating.
