Lucille Mavis (Bliske) Pomplun-Bartel, Wautoma, age 90 passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Patriot Place, Berlin. She was born on May 7, 1933 in Neshkoro to Fred and Violet (Schwersinski) Bliske. On May 18, 1950 she married Walter Pomplun. Walter passed away on December 22, 1972. Lucille then married Robert Bartel on August 16, 1975. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church Redgranite. Lucille enjoyed playing cards, polka dancing, going to the casino, having a huge garden and canning, reading, puzzles and word search games and making rugs. Above all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
Lucille is survived by her children: Karen (Larry) Timm, Pine River, Christine (fiancé: Roger Williams) Henke, Oshkosh, Connie (Gary) Bartel, Omro, Sally (Ken) Elmer, Westfield, Aaron (Dawn) Bartel, Poy Sippi; grandchildren: Tammy (Ed) Harris, Scott (Pookie Rosa) Steuck, Kelly (Brian) Stellmacher, Jody (Judy) Henke, Chantelle (Ken) Reinke, Jeremy (Destiny) Henke, Trevor Bartel, Danielle Bittelman, Jordan (Kaycee) Bittelman, Erica (friend: Paul) Oakes, Emily (friend: Cole) Bittelman, Alexander Bartel, Austin (friend: Jenna) Bartel, Hazel (friend: Jordan), Camryn (fiancée: Richard), and Jersey (friend: Jackson) Reck; great grandchildren: Braden, Declan, Samantha, Taylor, Natalie, Jenna, Connor, Dillon, Isabella, Jaidyn, Kyler, Caleb, Harmony, Kaydan, Jaycee, Jayda, and Raelynn; sisters-in-law: Barbara Bliske, Omro, Mary Pomplun, Berlin, Elizabeth Winkler, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband: Walter Pomplun; son: Gordon Pomplun; brother: Ernest Bliske; sons-in-law: Dennis Steuck, Alan Henke; daughters-in-law: Laura Pomplun, June Pomplun and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Redgranite with burial in Wautoma Union Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Friday from 9AM until the time of services at 11AM.
The family would like to thank Promedica Hospice and Patriot Place Staff for the wonderful care given to Lucille.
