Lola Marie (née Seybold) Manz, age 95 of Wautoma, passed away from COVID-19 on Friday, November 26th, 2021 at Heartland House CBRF. Her loving husband John Manz preceded her in death on December 14th, 2018. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage. Lola was blessed with wonderful family and friends whose lives she enriched.
Lola was born to Lawrence and Lyla (née Graff) Seybold as an identical twin on November 10th, 1926 in the city of Wautoma where she attended high school. After working in Chicago, she settled in Milwaukee where she met and married the love of her life, John Manz, on March 15th, 1952. They raised their three children in the Milwaukee area and settled in Wautoma in retirement.
Throughout her life, Lola pursued many hobbies, from crocheting and needlepoint to fishing and gardening. She took great pride in her flowers. Lola enjoyed making and sharing her delicious homemade candy with everyone who came to visit. Her favorite saying was, “Now say it like you mean it!”
Lola was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lela (Ed) Kohlweiss and her brother Don Seybold. Lola’s son Larry (Kathy) and daughters Susan and Judy were the apples of her eye. Her granddaughters gave her such joy: Theresa (Tim) Manz Kutschera, Angela (Jason) Moran, and Natalie (Neil) Krzeski. Her great-grandson Holden Manz Kutschera was an added blessing. Lola is further survived by her sister-in-law Shirley Ondrejicka, and many special nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma.
